whey protein pancakes
These aren’t strict carnivore, but they are objectively a tasty way to eat more protein.
Ingredients
1 egg
2 T water
35g hydrolyzed whey protein powder
1/8 t baking powder
a pinch of salt
optional flavorings, if tolerated well: vanilla extract, cinnamon, cocoa powder, etc.
Instructions
- heat a skillet over low-medium heat
- while the skillet heats up, mix together the protein powder, baking powder, and salt
- mix in water until protein powder is completely paste-y and no lumps remain
- mix in egg til just combined, do not overmix or your pancakes will be tough (you can add more water if your mix is too thick, you want pancake batter consistency
- pour batter into silver-dollar size circles in the skillet
- cook for 30 seconds on each side (do not overcook, they will turn rubbery)
