carnivore lasagna
Satisfy your cravings with our delicious meat lasagna recipe! This hearty dish is sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb Italian sausage
1/2 c beef broth
1 T apple cider vinegar
1 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 c ricotta
1 egg
1/2 c parmesan, grated
1 T Italian seasoning, garlic powder (optional)
For noodles:
2 c mozzarella, shredded
2 egg yolks
Instructions
- make noodles the night before: microwave mozzarella for 30 seconds, add egg yolks and stir until combined
- roll between 2 sheets of parchment paper and dry, uncovered, in the fridge overnight
- preheat oven to 350F
- brown ground beef and sausage (remove from casing if using links)
- once cooked, add in beef broth, vinegar & seasonings (if preferred)
- mix together the egg, ricotta, parmesan, mozz (and parsley, if desired) (note – I like to mix together the ricotta, mozz and parm and add it all in one layer reserving some mozz and parm for the final topping)
- Layer beef cheese, noodles, beef, cheese, noodles, beef, cheese
- bake, covered, for 45 minutes, top with any leftover mozzarella and parm, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, uncovered
- optional: broil for 2-3 minutes
- rest for 10-15 minutes before serving
