carnivore meatloaf french bread

I made this recipe for my amazing mom, @gypsyrockscarnivore inspired by her favorite childhood recipe, supper on a slice.

Ingredients

For bread:

8 egg whites

3 T butter powder (optional)

3 T egg white powder (or use 6 T whey powder)

3 T unflavored whey protein isolate powder (or use 6 T egg white powder)

For meatloaves:

1.5 lbs ground beef

1/2 c pork rinds

2/3 c evaporated milk

1 egg

1 T mustard

2 c cheddar cheese

salt to taste

Instructions

For the bread:

  1. preheat oven to 350F
  2. whip whites to stiff peaks
  3. gently fold in powders
  4. bake for 25-30 minutes
  5. allow to cool slowly by turning the oven off and cracking the door

For the meatloaf:

  1. preheat oven 350F
  2. mix all ingredients, except bread, in a large bowl. reserve a bit of cheese for garnish
  3. form meat mixture into flat loaves and bake on tray for 25 minutes or until cooked through
  4. 10 minutes before the meatloaves are done, slice the french bread and toast in the oven, flipping halfway through
  5. place the meatloaves onto the toasted bread, top with the cheese reserved for garnish, and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted
