egg bun patty melt

I missed patty melts, so I created these egg buns so I can enjoy burgers without the health issues from bread!

Ingredients

4.5 oz / 125g ground beef

1 oz / 25g cheese

1 egg bun

salt to taste

Instructions

  1. shape ground beef into balls adding salt to taste, and refrigerate
  2. make egg bun
  3. once egg buns are made, smash the ground beef balls onto a skillet over medium heat
  4. flip, add cheese and cover until the cheese has melted
  5. plate on bun (optional, but recommended: toast the bun before serving)
