simple no-carb beef crust pizza

This beef crust pizza was one of the recipes I played on repeat the summer of ’21. I hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients

375 g / .75 lb ground beef

2 T water

30 g / 1 oz cream cheese

30 g / 1 oz cheddar, shredded

2 bacon rashers

1/2 c beef broth

1 T apple cider vinegar

1 T worcestershire sauce (if tolerated well)

3g / 1/2 t glycine (this is an amino acid but it is sweet – weird, I know)

Instructions

  1. preheat your oven to 220 C / 425 F fan
  2. reduce beef broth with apple cider vinegar and worcestershire sauce to a sauce consistency
  3. fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat
  4. using a hand mixer, blend the ground beef with 2 T water and salt to taste until a paste forms
  5. in a baking tray lined with foil, spread out the meat mixture as thinly as possible
  6. bake for 10-15 minutes
  7. while the crust bakes, mix cream cheese with enough water to create a “sauce” consistency
  8. optional, but recommended: after the pizza bakes for the first 10 minutes, drain the fat from the pan and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, this will help you achieve a crispier crust
  9. after the pizza is done baking, spread cream cheese sauce over the pizza, top with cheese, crumble fried bacon over the top, and drizzle with BBQ sauce (optional, if tolerated well: sprinkle the top with dried dill and chives, this will bring out the “ranch” flavor)
  10. bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted
  11. allow the meatzza to cool for the longest 3 minutes of your life before you slice
